We’ve combined two Sunkist classics, the SA-4ASP and the 4AHP, to give you a highly efficient and productive scrap foam chipping system that can recycle over 1000kg of waste per hour. A two-part system, this machine guarantees foam crushed as fine as our customers need. If needed, metal separators can be installed along the foam conveyor to remove impurities that may cause damage. Our systems are designed with the safety and ease of operators in mind, so operators are never in direct contact with the crushing systems, all functions are centralized on computer panels, and built-in cooling systems ensure this machine is a successful long-term investment for foam plant owners.
The SA-5AF is Sunkist’s fully automatic peeling machine, designed to efficiently and effectively convert blocks of foam into rolls of foam sheets for sale or further processing. The upgraded blade can cut sheets as thick as 30mm while operating at high speed. The produced sheets are used widely from the footwear industry to the automobile industry.
The SA-5AFH is Sunkist’s premier peeling machine for non-standard materials such as rebonded and high density foam, synthetic rubber, and other recycled materials. While difficult to process, these materials can yield products that are shockproof, soundproof, and slip-resistant—that’s where our SA-5AFH comes into play. The most common end products of this machine are playground and gym flooring and cargo mats to ensure freight security during transport.
We have a full line of products for recycling synthetic rubber. See our SA-4ASP& 4AH60, the Super Power Breaker & Crusher, and the SA-9AH, our Heavy Duty Rebonding Machine.
The SA-6AC is Sunkist’s most popular laminating machine, widely used throughout foam and foam-related industries. It has been used to laminate materials for manufacturing shoe soles, handbags, mattresses, and furniture pieces. This machine accepts both water- and solvent-based adhesives and is equipped with an electric heater to quickly dry laminated pieces for further processing.
The SA-6AF is Sunkist’s flame laminating machine. It applies heat and melts the surface of PE or PU foam sheets, to which other materials can be adhered. This “self-produced” adhesive, compared with other glues, guarantees stronger binding and less drying time. Foam melt is contained to 0.5mm of the material surface to save on production costs. This machine is ideal for manufacturing items like gloves and vehicle cushions.
The SA-6AH is Sunkist’s hot melt adhesive laminating machine, primarily used by military and medical apparel suppliers. Hot melt adhesive requires a shorter drying time than water- or solvent-based adhesives, and is often used to manufacture apparel and footwear with functionalities such as waterproofing, breathability, and thermal protection. This machine also features top-of-the-line controls for lamination: gluing patterns and binding intensity can both be adjusted to precision, based on material types.
The SA-6AS is Sunkist’s scouring pad laminating machine that sticks scouring pads to foam sheets using either water- or solvent-based adhesives. The machine is also equipped with an electric heater to quickly dry laminated pieces to be ready for cutting.
See our N-Series for a full line of nonwoven material production machines (including a machine to specifically manufacture scouring pads).
The SA-6F is Sunkist’s film laminating machine that binds rebonded foam sheets to PE film for manufacturing carpet underlays. The PE film surface is melted for adhesion, and no excess chemical adhesive will be present after processing. Hardy underlays significantly improve the quality and increase the lifespan of a carpet; the chemical coating on the plastic film protects the carpet from carpet beetles and absorbs excess moisture. The SA-6F is sold to major companies all over the world.
The SA-6MC is Sunkist’s thermo foam laminating machine, specially designed to laminate PE and PP films by melting the film surface so as to not necessitate the addition of further adhesives. This machine is widely used to combine layers of film together for the use of cargo protection during the transportation of appliances and other crash-sensitive products.
The SA-7HA horizontally bores holes through foam blocks with a removable spindle that makes moving the foam from the boring to the peeling process more efficient and convenient. Horizontal boring reduces foam compression, ensuring smooth and even holes. Contact our Sales team today, and inquire about work surfaces to accommodate any shape block. Pair with our SA-5AF for best effect.
One of Sunkist’s most popular machines, the SA-8A convoluter splits a single sheet of foam in two with a profiled side on each. The foam sheet is inserted between the patterned rollers and cut by a band knife, which comes equipped with grinding, auto-feed, and auto-stop functions to ensure the perfect cut every time. Swap out the patterned rollers for flat rollers to use as a horizontal splitter. The SA-8A is ideal for bedding and insulation manufacturers.
The SA‐9A completely recycles conversion plant foam waste by rebonding chips into blocks. Crushed foam enters the optional silo, then is distributed into the weight box. Set amounts enter the mixing tank, and then the two rectangle or cylinder molds for hot press and steam. Rebonded blocks can then be processed into numerous end products. Machine also includes an electric control panel with a built‐in weight display and metering system to control chemical and steam dosage.
